2nd International Qurban Organization 1428 / 2007

In Hijri 1428 (2007 CE), the Mahmud Esad Cosan Foundation initiated the International Qurban Organization with the aim of restoring the essence of the Qurban worship.

Muslims from Türkiye and around the world entrusted their wakalah to the organization.

Small livestock, sourced from Australia due to its abundance of high-quality animals, were sacrificed in Australia’s modern integrated facilities in accordance with halal and hygienic standards. The qurban meat was cut, packaged, frozen, and shipped to Indonesia.

In Indonesia, home to the world’s largest Muslim population, the meat was distributed directly to 15,233 families in the Surabaya- Jogjakarta, Java Island region, meticulously pre-identified as eligible recipients. The distribution was carried out personally by the qurban organization’s volunteers.
