5th International Qurban Organisation 1431 / 2010

Muslims from Turkey and all over the world entrusted their wakalahs to the International Qurban Organisation, which was held for the fifth time in Hijri 1431 (Gregorian 2010) by Mahmud Esad Coşan Foundation in order to revive the essence of Qurban worship.

The ovine animals procured from Australia due to the abundance of quality animals were slaughtered in Australia’s modern integrated facilities in accordance with halal and hygienic standards. The sacrificial meat was frozen after being cut and packaged and sent to Indonesia.

In Indonesia, home to the world’s largest Muslim population, a total of 102,082 kg of meat was distributed directly to 47,300 families in Jogjakarta, Java Island and Medan, Sumatra Island. The distribution was carried out personally by the volunteers of the Qurban organisation.
