13th International Qurban Organisation 1439 / 2018

In Hijri 1439 (Gregorian 2018), Muslims from Turkey and all over the world entrusted their wakalahs to the International Qurban Organisation, which was held for the thirteenth time by Mahmud Esad Coşan Foundation in order to revive the essence of Qurban worship.

The ovine animals procured from Australia due to the abundance of quality animals were slaughtered in Australia’s modern integrated facilities in accordance with halal and hygienic standards. The sacrificial meat was frozen after being cut and packaged and sent to Indonesia.

In Indonesia, home to the world’s largest Muslim population, a total of 204,919 kg of meat was distributed directly to 66,120 families in Mataram, Lombok Island; Bima, Sumbawa Island; Medan, Sumatra Island; Surabaya, Java Island. The distribution was carried out personally by the volunteers of the Qurban organisation.
