Mahmud Es’ad Coşan Foundation Completes DUHA International Qurban Distribution in Indonesia

Through the DUHA International Qurban Organization, the Mahmud Es’ad Coşan Foundation has delivered qurban meat directly to 75,000 eligible families in Indonesia, following distributions in Turkiye.

As part of this year’s 19th annual organization, qurban sacrifices were carried out under the supervision of veterinary experts in modern, integrated facilities in Turkiye and Australia.

For 19 years, the Mahmud Es’ad Coşan Foundation has been distributing qurban meat, processed and packaged in modern facilities in Australia, to rightful recipients in Indonesia, the world’s most populous Muslim country and a region with a high concentration of those in need.

Operating under the principle, “Do it for Allah, and do it right,” the DUHA International Qurban Organization has so far delivered approximately 3 million kg of qurban meat to nearly 1 million beneficiaries in Turkiye and Indonesia.

This year alone, over 200 tons of qurban meat were distributed to beneficiaries in Indonesia.

Sacrifice in Australia, Distribution in Indonesia

After qurban sacrifices were performed with religious sensitivity in modern, integrated facilities, the meat was rested, packaged, and frozen. It was stored at -18°C and delivered frozen to beneficiaries on distribution days.

The distribution organization was supported by volunteers from Turkiye and around the world, alongside local authorities in Indonesia and MEC Foundation representatives.

75,000 Families Reached

A statement explained: “This year, 75,000 portions of qurban meat were delivered to 75,000 families in two regions of West Java, Bogor, and Sukabumi. Coordinated with regional social service organizations, distributions took place at 32 different locations, with qurban meat delivered directly to 10,000 individuals daily. To ensure accurate distribution, QR-coded coupons prepared for each recipient were scanned to verify that the meat reached the right individuals.”
